Downloads: (DD-WRT website) HTTPS & FTP (try another if a link does not work)

CLI Flash: 'cd /tmp' then 'wget {file URL}' (http only) or 'curl -O {file URL}' (https, http or ftp). 'write {file} linux' then 'reboot'.

Repository: Trac SVN changelog since last build r47644 (GitHub mirror)

Notes:
OpenVPN 2.5.4: Guides, Server, PBR, Reverse PBR, Client (see second post), Kill Switch, update tips, scripts and more.
WireGuard 1.0.20210606/Tools: Changelog, Guides, Client, Server, Advanced, PBR, KS, tips and scripts. Thanks BS & egc!
• CVE-2019-14899 VPN fix (applicability depends on VPN setup) and GUI toggle since r41813.
Experimental build option for Broadcom 8MB+ K2.x devices (limited currently): broadcom_K3X_mipsel32r1
• Broadcom MIPS devices are now on kernel 4.4. • Support added for TP-Link Archer C8 v2 and v3.
MiniDLNACoovaChilliPrivoxyiperf3cakeFreeRADIUSOpenSSLdnsmasqUnboundTorSquidSmartDNSAsteriskBusyBox
In-kernel Samba ksmbd 3.4.2+: default min/max versions changed. • WSD updateANTFS/NTFS3 kernel mode driver+++
• Broadcom swconfig support. • CVE-2020-26147, CVE-2020-24586, CVE-2020-24587 & CVE-2020-24588 (Fragattack) fixed.
• "Assign WAN port to Switch" feature removed; likely no longer required. • MAC Filtering within WebUI fixed (47184-47205).
• Sputnik Agent removed. • "Ignore WAN DNS" also ignores WAN domain. Milkfish removed.
New DD-WRT inspired themes conversion by the-joker & BrainSlayer, micro devices excluded.

Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
WebUI: Clear history or use a portable. Temporary cache bypass: Ctrl+F5, Cmd+Shift+R or new private window/incognito.
DNScrypt 1.95 can still be used in WebUI but v2 (not compatible) requires Golang and thus Entware. See Trac ticket #6246.
WDS does not work on Broadcom ARM devices (only MIPS<->MIPS) & bridge modes on k4.4 devices may sometimes work
in some configurations for certain builds but are not supported by the bcmdhd driver. Try client or repeater modes, but YMMV.
VAPs not working at boot was fixed for unbridged VAPs (40562-40566). Effective startup commands: see discussion thread.
If startup scripts do not work from USB add delay (wait script), sleep 25 or try Administration -> Commands -> Save USB.
Broadcom ARM devices if 5 GHz channels are missing, via Telnet/SSH: 'nvram set brcm_unlock=1' 'nvram commit' 'reboot'
Please report findings with steps needed to reproduce, configuration, clients, output, logs and important information below!

Important:
• For issues provide applicable info: 'dmesg', 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages', syslog, klog, serial, strace, tcpdump, wireshark etc.
• Any firewall NAT or WAN issues, show output: 'iptables -vnL', 'iptables -t nat -vnL', 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' and /tmp/.ipt file.
• Search Trac tickets & discuss in forum before opening. Before reporting reset & manually set up, not restore from a backup.
• Please include operating & wireless modes (e.g. Gateway, Router, AP, CB, WDS, Mesh) & relevant configuration information.

Router Model: ASUS RT-AC88U

Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r47656 std (11/18/21)
Kernel Version: Linux 4.4.292 #4450 SMP Thu Nov 18 02:58:32 +07 2021 armv7l

Upgraded from: DD-WRT v3.0-r47608 std
Reset: No

Status: All pre-upgrade services are running. Using VLAN/WireGuard/DHCP Server. But 5GHz does not work.

Errors: 'nvram set brcm_unlock=1;nvram commit;reboot' does not resolve 5GHz issue. I could recovery following precedure:
1. Power-off, then Power-on while pressing Reset Button, then enter rescue mode.
2. Use Asus Firmware recovery tool, transfer "experimental_driver" firmware. automatic reboot.
3. From DD-WRT Web-GUI, transfer previous(r47608) firmware.
4. Previous normal state(5GHz ready) recovery done.

Direct r47665->r47608 downgrade does not resolve this issue.

my hardware issue...?

Edited:
Backup config -> Hard Reset( https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Hard_reset_or_30/30/30 ) and Upgrade r47665 -> Restore config, successfully recover 5GHz.
No Problem.

Thank BS and all team stuff. It works.

Router/Version: D-Link DIR-868L Rev.A1
File/Kernel: dir868a-webflash.bin / Linux 4.4.292 #4445 SMP Wed Nov 17 13:06:24 +07 2021 armv7l
Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r47644 std (11/15/21) / no
Mode/Status: Repeater Bridge on 5GHz AC/N-Mixed (wl0 is purposely turned off) + USB Storage + lighttpd (using Entware's php8) + DDNS (custom) + Cron / working
Issues/Errors:

Edit: DDNS not working as expected, not clear if it's because of external DDNS website (https://www.dynu.com/) or because of DDWRT or because of RB
  1. 1st reboot after FW upgrade: lighttpd is up & accessible via LAN IP address, but inaccessible via dynamic domain name
  2. IP check (http://checkip.amazonaws.com/) showing that my WAN IP address is different than the IP address registered at DDNS service website (https://www.dynu.com/)
  3. Reboot router: DDNS is still not updated
  4. Click Save button on DDWRT's DDNS page (/DDNS.asp):DDNS Status shows the following
    Code:
    Fri Nov 19 03:44:19 2021: INADYN: Started 'INADYN Advanced version 1.96-ADV' - dynamic DNS updater.
    Fri Nov 19 03:44:19 2021: INADYN: IP read from cache file is '119.74.xxx.xxx'. No update required.
    Fri Nov 19 03:45:25 2021: I:INADYN: IP address for alias 'xxx.mywire.org' needs update to '121.7.xxx.xxx'
    Fri Nov 19 03:45:28 2021: I:INADYN: Alias 'xxx.mywire.org' to IP '121.7.xxx.xxx' updated successfully.
  5. After that, the IP address registered at DDNS service website (https://www.dynu.com/) is still not updated. The "Last updated" time at at DDNS service website (https://www.dynu.com/) is also not updated (2021/09/22 17:41:11)

There is still a problem on this build which has been mentioned by other people on other recent builds to do with USB storage.

You cannot delete, create, or copy to without getting errors (you cannot even create a 'new folder').

The problem is totally repeatable and is happening to me on an R7000 via Windows 10. Reverting back to r47381 solves the problem everytime.

Is this while using an NTFS/FAT32 formatted partition?

My R7000 goes a step further...If I try to use Filezilla to transfer a directory...it transfers about 20-25M of data...freezes...then restarts the router. Its the only thing I have problems with on the newer firmware. It's a good thing I don't use it for reliable storage. If I exit Filezilla, then re-enter, it can't find the file directory it just wrote and shows as empty even though the USB page shows there is data on the mem-stick.

I'm not very proficient with USB and ftp so I'm not sure how to troubleshoot it. I originally thought it was a Filezilla setup issue..now with all these forum posts about it...I'm beginning to think it has something to do with the ProFTP on the router.

Linux 4.4.292 #4445 SMP Wed Nov 17 13:06:24 +07 2021 armv7l

tftp R6250.chk over 47644

A couple of resets.

wl0 WLAN Repeater, wl1 AP, static leases, Connection Watchdog

No usb storage.

All good Thank You

Tried yesterday on 47644 and now on current to get vap I don't need on wap working.
Bottom line I could never connect to an unbridged vap.

Doesn't matter since I'm not using this router as wap.

Attached my rambling notes I made during this exercise.

Add good working DNS servers like 9.9.9.9 and 1.0.0.1 to static DNS 1 and 2. On setup page

Disable 'Query DNS in strict-order' on Service page

Router/Version: Netgear R7000
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r47656 std
Previous: r47510 updated via WebUI
Reset: No
Status/Mode: Okay. Running as gateway + AP:
- Networking: IPv4+IPv6 (prefix delegation + radvd);
- Media Services: MiniDLNA (native), Transmission (Entware), Samba (Entware);
- VPN: Both OpenVPN + WireGuard running as server;
- Local DNS: Dnsmasq (via UI settings) + SmartDNS (via UI + jffs);
- Others: DDNS, VLAN (2 custom VLANs for device isolation + Extra DHCP servers)
Issues/Errors: every service works like last build. Running for a few hours now.

Just noticed a slight annoyance in my R7000:

Code:
root@router:~# htop
Error opening terminal: xterm-256color.

It can be fixed with export TERM=xterm but it's annoying.

Thank you.
