Hi. I had my Netgear R6220 bricket after flash attempt. The router turns on, and power is stable it flash on the lan ports (which is connected), but after some seconds it reboots.
If i try to reset the router using using a paperclip, it flashes between Wifi and Earth (Internet). But it dont reboot anymore, but nothing else will happend, I can only switch if of manually.
The router dont get any ipadress, if i connect the router to a pc, using static ip. (PC set to 192.168.1.10) The router reboots like explained above, before it get any ip adress.
In "reset" mode as explained above it will not get any ip too.
I tried to tftp to it but since the router never get an ip, its useless, and i get timeout.
If its possible to flash it in someway i guess its only possible in "reset mode" cause that is the only way the router will stay alive without rebooting.
But we do not know which firmware image from which DD-WRT build was flashed that bricked this device...
I guess i found the most recent version for my router, but I guess the big mistake was me, cause previous the router was running OPEN WRT. So i guess thats why is bricket now cause OPEN WRT firmware might be another format than dd-wrt.

If you follow the instructions for nmrpflash... your only other option is to use serial, but that is something that isn't really documented for MediaTek or this device on how to flash it or recover it.

I experienced that also while flashing DD-WRT initially. I enabled JFFS which soft-bricks the router apparently. I believe I managed to reset it by triggering the reset button after the device has been powered on for a few seconds (i.e. it is loading the OS). But it is a long time ago, so I may be wrong.
It is quite a issue with this router, if you flash e.g. OpenWRT via nmrpflash and flash back to DD-WRT the original settings you had for DD-WRT are still present. I found TFTP to be unreliable in comparision with nmrpflash, it works very well.
