If I won't be able to remotely access the WAN interface of the router is there some sort of remote management solution for DDWRT?

Something that would allow me to see the router UI and manage it through a cloud interface similar to Peplink InControl, Ubiquiti UISP, Cradlepoint NetCloud manager etc, etc.

If you mean you cannot access the WAN interface because you are on CGNAT or otherwise restricted then have a look at zerotier, tailscale, tinc and/or ngrok

This has been asked and answered before so google is your friend Smile

The closest I came up with in searching was ct-networks.io but hearing about zerotier and ngrok I've never heard about before is why I am here, thanks.

We are here to help Smile

Other solutions are VPN with port forwarding that is what I am using.

The DDWRT routers is a client to the VPN provider and via that VPN provider you connect back to your home network

Not all VPN providers support port forwarding, I use WireGuard via Mullvad with port forwarding to connect to my holiday home which is on CGNAT

But they also support port forwarding via OpenVPN I think

Based on this thread https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=317643&sid=29f9e9b859e10eae5f3b4c096db4f6ef it seems like zerotier won't be able to access DD-WRT management remotely though?

I did install zerotier on Entware and it is accessible through other zerotier clients. I'm not completely finished, but at least that was working....
