[WARNING]: This thread is only for feedback on this beta release for developers and the community's benefit.
DO NOT flash this beta release unless you understand the risks involved and device specificrecovery methods.
Avoid discussions! Create threads for questions, general problems or use search; this thread is not for support.
Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.
Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
• WebUI: Clear history or use a portable. Temporary cache bypass: Ctrl+F5, Cmd+Shift+R or new private window/incognito.
• DNScrypt 1.95 can still be used in WebUIbut v2 (not compatible) requires Golang and thus Entware. See Trac ticket #6246.
• WDS does not work on Broadcom ARM devices (only MIPS<->MIPS) & bridge modes on k4.4 devices may sometimes work
in some configurations for certain builds but are not supported by the bcmdhd driver. Try client or repeater modes, but YMMV.
• VAPs not working at bootwas fixed for unbridged VAPs (40562-40566). Effective startup commands: see discussion thread.
• If startup scripts do not work from USB add delay (wait script), sleep 25 or try Administration -> Commands -> Save USB.
• Broadcom ARM devices if 5 GHz channels are missing, via Telnet/SSH: 'nvram set brcm_unlock=1' 'nvram commit' 'reboot'
• Please report findings with steps needed to reproduce, configuration, clients, output, logs and important information below!
Important:
• For issues provide applicable info: 'dmesg', 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages', syslog, klog, serial, strace, tcpdump, wireshark etc.
• Any firewall NAT or WAN issues, show output: 'iptables -vnL', 'iptables -t nat -vnL', 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' and /tmp/.ipt file.
• Search Trac tickets & discuss in forum before opening. Before reporting reset & manually set up, not restore from a backup.
• Please include operating & wireless modes (e.g. Gateway, Router, AP, CB, WDS, Mesh) & relevant configuration information.

Temperatures: CPU 56.4 °C / WL0 40.9 °C / WL1 49.0 °C
Issues/Errors: Led "et robowr switches" no longer working and phone picking up wifi didn't quite seem as stable.
I realize this may not be relevant and there was a long time since upgrade but, thought I'd mention it.
Running the following commands no longer turns off the Ethernet port leds, as it did on the previous version. Specifically the et commands aren't working (gpio work, however.)
Code:
#!/bin/sh
#
for i in 1 6 8 9 12 13 ; do gpio enable $i ; done
for i in 10 11 ; do gpio disable $i ; done
/jffs/et robowr 0x0 0x18 0x1ff
/jffs/et robowr 0x0 0x18 0x0
/jffs/et robowr 0x0 0x1a 0x0
/jffs/et robowr 0x0 0x16 0x0
Note: build v3.0-r43099 didn't seem to have et installed and I turned on and uploaded it to jffs. Latest version, however seemed to have et in the same location, although I can't say for sure if turning on and cleaning the jffs on this latest build resulted in a fresh et of its own or if it was lingering from my previous upload.
In regards to phone picking up the two Wifi's, I can't say for sure what it was but, didn't quite seem as stable as before and wasn't as visible while searching for the connections, if that makes sense. Didn't seem to stay as happily connected, either.
I can't quite put my finger on this one, however and don't know how to best describe or help here. I've reverted back to 2020 build, as it was working perfectly fine for my needs and night mode worked too. Happy to test more (with guidance; I haven't done any testing before and don't know where to start.) If night mode can be worked out again, that would be great.

The et robopwr issue isn't new and probably a regression that needs to be back-tracked as to why it's now broken. Honestly, if people are that hyper-sensitive and need the leds off, it's easier to invest in a blindfold. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

I did the WebGui reset before and after. That is, used the Reset to Default under Factory Defaults tab and selected Reset to Factory settings under Firmware upgrade.
Is that not the same as doing nvram erase && reboot?
The router is right next to the living room television, and a distraction when watching LOTR EE et al, otherwise a blindfold would be great lol.
I'm fine using the older version. But, again, don't mind testing things more if it's helpful. Don't mind starting a new thread as well, if need be.

Pretty much, just wondering if you had any wifi VAP setup, because this could account for a bug with spotty wifi connection, this issue has a functioning workaround.
if so look at this topic if not disregard my reply.
