My router is the WRT3200ACM running DD-WRT v3.0-r44715 std (11/03/20)

I have the WINDOWS 10 Alexa App loaded on my Windows 10 machine. My PC has a WIRED ethernet connection.

Before I moved to DD-WRT firmware I could use this Alexa app on my PC to communicate with another Alexa device outside my network. This no longer works. I still can communicate to Alexa devices inside my home network.

The syslog info I found related to this is:

Nov 3 09:44:28 DD-WRT daemon.warn dnsmasq[2122]: possible DNS-rebind attack detected: alexa.commswebrtc.com

Any help is appreciated.

You probably need one of these in your additional dnsmasq options on the services page:
https://thekelleys.org.uk/dnsmasq/docs/dnsmasq-man.html
Code:
rebind-localhost-ok
rebind-domain-ok=[<domain>]|[[/<domain>/[<domain>/]

There may be other things required, but I don't use Alexa, Chromecast, etc. - anything that phones home.

I put the "rebind-localhost-ok" in the additional dnsmasq options on the services page and it seems to have solved the issue. The Windows 10 Alexa app is able to communicate to Alexa devices outside my home network again.

Thanks.
