Hi All,

I have flashed the TP-Link router with DD-WRT. I want to create a VPN (to use my office internet). I want to connect to the office from another country and use office internet only.
How can we carry it out?
Is there any possibility? Please guide me.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum Smile

Unfortunately you are posting in the wrong forum and even worse you are not stating the buildnumber you are using.

Please read the helpful forum guidelines with pointers about where and what to post, how to research your router where to find builds and many more helpful tips:
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=324087

I will transfer your post to the more appropriate Advanced Networking forum

No need to apologize Smile

You are using an old build, consider upgrading see the forum guidelines.

I have TP-link hardware which is TL-WR940N and I have downloaded the matched DD-WRT which is mentioned above. Can I still install the updated DD-WRT build version on this TP-Link router ?
Thanks.

Your router has Atheros Firmware (I think) so those specific questions should be asked in the Atheros forum.

But just follow the forum guidelines and look in the build threads of that forum if someone reports success for your router or a similar router and you should be good. I do not see any apparent show stoppers.

You can simply upgrade via the GUI as always be patient when upgrading.

Latest build as of today is 47528

I am sorry again for using the wrong forum for this. I got the latest FW for DD_WRT.

Can we jump into the original post "How to gain access to the office internet(I just want to browse office internet from another location, I don't want to access the internal resources)"

Any suggestions, please?

There are more than 6 versions of this router.

http://en.techinfodepot.shoutwiki.com/wiki/TP-LINK_TL-WR940N_v1.x

They all have the same crappy 4 Mbit flash chip. There is no room for any VPN.

Is this router located at the office?
