Why not buy a router that's already supported? Getting support for a new, currently unsupported device takes either a hardware donation or more information than you have provided.

hi, im not purchasing, I already have a handful of these hence why I was looking for support. I've looked up the SoC and found multiple similar set ups from different manu. which support openwrt. but i dont know if it is the same here

This devices is a spinoff from JCG (aka Kuwfi, Nexxt and/or Cudy) JIR-AC681M, and there is a thread of someone that successfully port the firmware on OpenWrt to this device fully functional 5G, so its possible to be supported by DD-WRT too.

However since Im not a programmer, just a skilled user and risking my self from being banned from this community you should try this link https://forum.openwrt.org/t/solved-mt76-mt7612e-firmware-loading-hangs-adding-support-for-cudy-wr1000/26406

Here, let me repeat myself. Getting support for a new, currently unsupported device takes either a hardware donation or more information than you have provided.

This is not OpenWRT. Completely different build system, completely different router detection implementation, completely different, period.
