Hello. Please help with debricking my tp-link TL-MR3220 v.1.2 (not tl-mr 3420)

I tried to flash it into dd-wrt. Flashing process went well, nut router started cyclically rebooting. (cannot boot)

I think it happened because I forgot to turn off the firewall on the computer:

Here is what I did in the process.

1) connected router to PC via cable

2) from web panel switched the wifi of the router off and then rebooted

3) from cmd did ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew

4) from webpanel chose factory-to-dd-wrt.bin file and pressed to upgrade

the process went well, but the router went into cyclical reboot mode (cannot boot)

As i said, may be it happened because i had forgotten to disable firewall on the computer.

Please help recover my router!!

Which DD-WRT version did you use for initial flash?

Did you try checking to see if the router responded at 192.168.1.1 after flashing?

These should be able to be recovered via TFTP:

https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-mr3420

If only I could go back into this thread and correct all the now invalid links:

Thanks for reply

I tried to flash with one from router database:
MR3220 1.x
v3.0 [Beta] Build: 44715
factory-to-ddwrt.bin

the routers front panel lights up and immediately turns off. Then again. Only power light maintains lighted.

I cant access 192.168.1.1

Also I tried to recover with tftp, dont know maybe I did something wrong, but that method didnt work for me.

Did you set a static IP before flashing to something in the 192.168.0.x subnet? Did you try using the windows network troubleshooter? The ipconfig method doesn't always work in windows 10, 8.x, 7, or XP. This could be a case where that firmware image was too big or broken, as well. I am trying to back-track and see if I can't find information.

thank for your efforts

unfortunately, i didnt set a static ip. nor used troubleshooter.

i found an instruction from the internet and followed it.

dd-wrt firmware was downloaded from this site, specific for my router, MR3220 v1.

Now when i turn on the router PWR light and lan port light (port that connected via lan cable to PC) blinks for milliseconds then all the lights blink, then turns off except PWR light. Then described cycle goes again. Is it even bricked?

The trouble with 3rd party how-to's is they will steer you wrong. 44715 may be a bad initial flash for this router. But you should be able to recover this via tftp; worst case is you have to use a USB-TTL serial adapter and PuTTY to get it to tftp flash.

The process is described in the OpenWRT wiki I linked, which also includes links on how to set up tftp server and what software is required.
