alright give it to me straight. Does the 2.4ghz radio in the WRt3200ACM actually work? I've read for months in the forums, changed settings, different loads it doesn't matter my download speed is at best 5mbps. I went as far as loading Linksys firmware back on the router and I get the exact same results. Is my radio jacked or am I still missing something? (current Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r47461 std (09/17/21)

Thanks for your response. yes I did a hardware reset (10 sec reset button push). after going back to stock
for DD-WRT yes I did a hardware reset (10 sec reset button push)
I disabled the 5ghz all together WLAN0 and WLAN2, and left only the WLAN1 2.4ghz on, when testing I only allowed 1 device on the router at a time. the settings below are the vanilla ones I used. but I did try changing most all of them.
wireless settings:
WLAN1 (2.4ghz)
mode-ap
wireless network mode ng-mixed
channel width HT40 (40Mhz)
channel 1
extension channel 1
turbo enabled
short preamble enable
short gI enabled
no wifi security at all.
tested with Iphone 8, Galaxy S20, an old inspiron laptop N5050, all same result. (note that I have an old Linksys WRT54G that all these devices work with no issue)
Wireless Network Mode Mixed, TurboQAM (QAM256) support Disable, Channel Width Full (20 MHz).
Security Mode WPA, Network Authentication WPA2 Personal only, WPA Algorithms CCMP-128 only.
General idea start mostly with defaults before slowly branching out to see what is breaking clients.
If stock firmware behavior is identical and configuration is good then likely some hardware failure.
