Now x86, x64, MIPS, MIPSEL, ARMv5 and ARMv7 forks are merged into Entware.

yes on DDWRT and yes DDWRT Entware wiki works ok
I just read something that gets me doubtful, hope that you could helpme to clarify me
1st the USB that im gonna to use what capacity should be 3gb, 16gb, 32gb be?, 32gb?, Should it exclusively stay connected forever to the router? Or when I finish installing everything, can I take it out and use it for whatever I want?
Entware Over SSL/TLS For DD-WRT Installations
All software modules from official Entware, including installation scripts, the packet manager, and installable packages, are distributed though the open Internet via HTTP without any kind of security. This is unacceptable: any actor between Entware's repository and its clients can trivially and completely compromise the clients.
Fortunately, the Entware servers themselves do support HTTPS. This repository provides tools that allow secure Entware over SSL/TLS installtions on DD-WRT devices. (Other devices can also use these tools but may require different installation procedures.)
Secure Entware Installation
Prerequisites:
A DD-WRT installation that supports SSL/TLS (HTTPS URLs) on its ẁget or curl commands.
A Linux filesystem partition on non-volatile storage auto-mounted on /opt (preferably formatted as ext4).
Procedure:
If you have already installed Entware though insecure HTTP before, consider the possibility that your router may have been compromised. You might want to wipe /opt, reflash DD-WRT, and reset to factory defaults.
Run these commands on the DD-WRT router via SSH or Telnet to download the Entware installation script patcher:
cd /opt
wget 'https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Lanchon/ddwrt-secure-entware/master/patch-installer.sh'
As of October 2019, official builds of DD-WRT include a version of wget that does not support SSL/TLS (HTTPS URLs), so the previous wget command is expected to fail. If this is the case, install Curlize as explained bellow. Once that is done, restart the secure Entware installation from the top. The above wget command should now work.
Check your router's architecture:
uname -m
Fetch the Entware installation script that corresponds to your hardware architecture as explained in regular Entware installation how-to's, but make sure to change the URL's protocol identifier from 'http:' to 'https:'.
should i use HTTP or HTTPS? which did you used? Because as it is my 1st time I would like to do it the same as you, in case I have a problem, can someone advise me and also if you have never had problems then... why change it?... and there is very very little information about ddwrt with entware As if to complicate me more... (for cli ddwrt update we use http)

yep entware install is easy and quick never had any issues with it ether via http or https did them both, last was via curl to be precise….
using zerotier, you could use wireguard server or openvpn almost with the same success…
i haven't tried zerotier via VPN as my router is behind a VPN, but will try it soon…no time for it now, no idea if it will work… _________________ Atheros

Ok if it doesn't work well with zerotier I'll try wineguard or openvpn too ... now _________________ Fiber Modem/Router: ZTE-ZXHN F670L ►►►►►► Internet 1

with zerotier you have to avoid double NAT and SPI firewall is head banging problem, you need to config zerotier all via CLI and its a mess, not much info and not easy to run...better look at ecg signatures links, regarding Wireguard / OpenVPN guides
sadly... there is no DDWRT zerotier guide yet, but it works ok with OpenWRT...and there are few guides..@zerotier _________________ Atheros

Yes, the circumstances that prompted the inquiry about Entware installation was due to the user being behind CGNAT and looking for a solution for point-to-point connectivity. It's all in the forum ^_^

yep, discussion deviated slightly(turbo) from the main subject...
more info and discussions on zerotier better on a new thread...
so far the only available old topic regarding ddwrt and zerotier was old from 2018
