Hoping someone can explain what I am missing with the custom script feature. I thought I could enter a custom script into Commands box on the Administration-Commands page and click the "Save Custom" button at the bottom to have these commands saved to a file called custom.sh located in the /tmp folder. Since /tmp is volatile the custom.sh file would be automatically created on each boot up using the information stored in the rc_custom variable from NVRAM. When I click the "Save Custom" button the rc_custom variable is updated to contain my script commands but the /tmp/custom.sh file does not appear in the /tmp folder. I am using build 44715 on a Netgear R6400 router but I have tried various builds with the same behavior so I must be missing some fundamental concept. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Check your help file again; it should be at /tmp/.rc_custom:

https://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/7139

You should also consider updating to a more recent build. See forum rules and guidelines; firmware faq.

Seems that info is not in the wiki either.

You should ask for your money back!

I have added a hint to the wiki.

You didn't add at which build number this changed. Please correct that.

Exactly the point I was after. If you don't know, then you should've figured that out first. Not trying to be rude; I guess I will have to figure it out and fix your edit.

EDIT: builds after this commit save to .rc_custom; So, 43334 and earlier use custom.sh and 43381 and newer use .rc_custom.
