Hello i have a TL-WR-1043ND V3 router....i know that it is not powerful but i think it can "take care" some things.
I need to use QoS..my speeds are 48000 kbps download and 5500kbps for upload i think it isn't so big speeds that cannot handle.
I play World of tanks in PS4 so i want to have low bufferbloat and prioritize my console.
My devices in home that uses internet are...an Android tv (always uses internet)..my PS4...2 tablets (kids looking videos in YouTube) and one laptop.
Only PS4 and Android tv are wired all the others are with WiFi connection.
Network setup:
My ISP gives a modem/router to handle connection and VoIP; I cannot change it without losing VoIP, but when I connect the TP-Link WR-1043ND V3 in a LAN port of ISP router it can take a second public IP from ISP and work. All devices are connected to TP-Link WR-1043ND V3 and ISP router only used for VoIP, nothing else.
In TP-Link WR-1043ND V3 with DD-WRT, I will use PPPoE connection, WiFi, port forwarding (for games), static leases, and QoS.
So what build to use to not have problems?? I am very confused as I said I know that isn't powerful, but I think some builds aren't so "hungry" in memory and CPU.
I try different builds and what ever settings I try, I was having bufferbloat (terrible lag spikes). I think the reason was "run out" CPU or RAM, but some years ago I have try builds and works pretty well with bufferbloat in these speeds. I am not a dev and I don’t know what have changed technically.
Any help about what build to use and settings???
I appreciate any help.
Sorry for my English it isn't my familiar language. _________________ Tp-Link WR-1043ND v3

QoS on this router (depends from ISP WAN speed provided) could be overkill...I don't have any troubles with WOT on it, without QoS and 40Mbit ISP provided via modem over PPPoE...but it depends as im using NA WOT, as EU is packed and laggy...so, i have 100-150ms usually...
also WOT lag could be down to many other things like bad WiFi set up and ect... _________________ Atheros

I have about 45000kbps download and about 5500kbps for upload..are so big to have problem with QOS?

I leave in Greece so i choose EU server...NA is to far from me.

I play wired always.
For general...when i enable QOS i have terrible lag spikes as i said when i test it via wired laptop.
Maybe build has something to do with this? What build to use that doesnt have these problems...a working build i dont care to "run" the latest with latest functions..just something with working QOS. _________________ Tp-Link WR-1043ND v3

I am on today's build (47305) on all my low-resource devices without issues. You likely do not need QoS; I would have to check to see what I have tweaked, but I don't have latency issues and I am using a v2 as a wireless client to another router. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Will have any issues while playing?
Because my other devices doing heavy use of internet and will cause increased bufferbloat while playing?
Thats why i was thinking to use QOS. _________________ Tp-Link WR-1043ND v3
