Hello everyone, I would like to ask a question. I am a WRT1900ACSV2 router, and the two partitions are currently DD-WRT.
I now want to restore one of the partitions to the original firmware of linksys. I have already downloaded the latest original firmware from the linsys official website. What should I do next? Can anyone tell me, thank you!

Which DD-WRT build installed? Should definitely be r47720 right now. New Build - 12/02/2021 - r47720

Factory stock firmware upgrade the same way, use the WebUI -> Administration -> Firmware Upgrade.

All configuration values are stored in the same nvram space so after successful reboot hardware reset.

Yes, you can also switch back to DD-WRT with the Linksys WebUI:

see Troubleshooting, Diagnostics then Restore Previous Firmware.

Or, flash factory-to-ddwrt.bin ACS V2 r47720 from Linksys WebUI.

I have now upgraded the DD-RT to the latest R47720, and then I am going to upgrade the original firmware. In the WEB upgrade interface, whether to select "Reset to default settings"?

Okay, so you flashed linksys-wrt1900acsv2/ddwrt-linksys-wrt1900acsv2-webflash.bin from DD-WRT WebUI.

Generally, it is recommended to keep dropdown option for "After flashing, reset to" as default "Don't reset".

I just connected the router with a network cable on the computer. On the WEB interface of the R47720 firmware of DD-WRT, I chose to upgrade the factory firmware. Its version is 2.0.1.177097. No errors were reported during the upgrade process. It is abnormal after the automatic restart. The power indicator light flashes for about 10 seconds and then goes out. Only the LAN connection light is always on, and all other indicator lights are not on.
The computer's network card cannot obtain the IP address automatically assigned by the router. I tried to press and hold the RESET button on the back of the router for 10 seconds, and there was no change.
Finally, I went back to the R47720 of DD-WRT by rebooting three times. Then I tried three times to reboot back to the factory firmware, but it still couldn't start.
Excuse me, does the factory firmware I downloaded need to be changed before I can upgrade it back? I found that the extension of the DD-WRT firmware is bin, while the extension of the factory firmware is img

Nothing needs to be changed about stock files at all.

Software firewall, security problem? Which browser?

Here is a list of firefox portables, installers and forks.

I downloaded it from https://www.linksys.com/cn/support-article?articleNum=205572. The download option is Version 2.0. The file name is:

Is there really a need to keep stock firmware on the router? Keeping stock firmware on the device may introduce regressions that cause issues, no? Are we not following the myriad of bouncing balls in the Marvell world?

@zhuli66

It appears Chinese website offers the second release. I linked the sixth release above version 2.0.3.201002.

You may want to double check "Model No." listed on the bottom of your router, label upper right-hand corner.

I used the address you provided to download the firmware and it was successfully updated! thank you very much!

The reason for the previous failure was found: I was in China, and I visited the Chinese website of linksys before, so I got an older firmware. You gave me the English website address of linksys. I cannot access it directly. I was forced to use a proxy server to successfully access and download it.

There appears to be a problem with the old firmware 2.0.1.177097; someone else had the same experience.

Be sure to hardware reset or hold the reset button 10 seconds after reboot into new firmware environments.

DD-WRT can also "nvram erase && reboot" from Telnet or SSH command line, alternative to hardware reset.
