DHCP renew policy?

I'm on build 23503 using AC68U

Normally on most routers when they renew after a DHCP lease expires they tend to be sticky and keep the same IP address. Just like your Cable modems typically stay with the same IP address for quite some time (weeks).

Changing IP address on each renew can cause problems.

I realize I can add Static leases and do. But prefer not have to add them for more things than I need.

Is there an option to change this behavior?
Is it a bug?

I know technically the DHCP is allowed to change the address. But I've never seen this before.

It could be that you're using an ancient DD-WRT build, if this is happening. I haven't seen it on any builds in the past 3 years.

You could also extend the life of the lease if using the same IP address is mandatory.
