Router/Version: Dlink DIR-882 A1
File/Kernel: factory-to-ddwrt.bin
Previous/Reset: Dlink firmware 1.30b06
Mode/Status: AP
Issues/Errors: 1- Web interface doesn't always load properly and is sometimes unresponsive for a long time.
2- Unable to get IP using DHCP on WAN, I suspect the switch's settings may be wrong, worked right away when I downgraded to r44715.
This was my first install of DD-WRT on this router.
I put the router in recovery mode and flashed the factory to DD-WRT file. Right after I noticed the web interface was unresponsive, going out completely for a long time when saving settings and when changing to other tabs ie.: from wireless to status.
So I put the router in recovery mode again, flashed r44715, and everything worked right away. The internet was back on, the web interface worked properly etc. Only had to setup the wifi.
Just now I upgraded to r47256 from the web interface and everything is also working fine.
I'm not sure about the switch issue. Only saying this cause the DHCP renew on the wan did nothing (it was instant and the ip stayed at 0,0,0,0) and the switch settings are different in r47256.
If I remember correctly, the wan port was set to vlan2 and port 1-2-3-4 were on vlan1.
r47256 has the wan on vlan1 and 1-2-3-4 on vlan0

You should be able to change the settings to the proper ones both on switch config tab and networking tab, save, and reboot. You may also wish to verify via telnet/ssh the output of swconfig list; swiconfig dev ____ show (use the device(s) in the list from previous output). If that doesn't solve the issue, I will contact BrainSlayer. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Will an upgrade from the web interface preserve the switch config from r47256?
The only time things really change is when you wipe the nvram completely via 'nvram erase && reboot' or you reset to defaults (as long as you do not do any custom changes to nvram variables via 'nvram set' and then 'nvram commit'. What people fail to realize is that all the nvram settings are checked on boot and if they do not exist, they are written. A lot of recent changes related to Broadcom and other devices for that page may have left some anomalies, but I was told that those settings can be set to the correct ones via webUI, saved, then reboot the router and it should be okay. If this is not true in your situation, need the output of swconfig list, swconfig dev ____ show. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"
