Router/Version: TP-Link Archer C7 v2
File: tplink_archer-c7-v2-US.bin [r47182_20210815]
Kernel: Linux 3.18.140-d6 #123100 Sun Aug 15 05:50:23 +07 2021 mips
Previous: tplink_archer-c7-v2-US.bin [r47033_20210708]
Reset: No
Mode: Gateway Router (with WiFi disabled; separate AP connected via LAN)
Status: Soft Reboots cause router to enter boot-loop & lose WebUI access. Hard Reboots (power-cycle) router boots up allowing WebUI access again. Consistently reproducible issue. Reverted back to build r47033. Uptime: <1 hour
Temperatures: Not available [WiFi disabled]

Router/Version: TP-Link Archer C7 v2 (x2)
File/Kernel:
Firmware Version
DD-WRT v3.0-r47182 std
Previous/Reset: r47171
Mode/Status: WDS Station, WDS AP (one in each mode)
Issues/Errors: One of the Archer C7's had a similar issue to both 862L's below. On reboot it would reset to factory defaults. The other one that is hard-wired into the network as a second WDS AP did not have that issue. I did decide to do an in place downgrade from r47182 to r47135 on that one however. One of the 862L's refused to connect to it until I did the downgrade. I did not reset the Archer C7 WDS AP, neither did it reset itself.
Router/Version: D-Link DIR-862L A1
File/Kernel: r47182
Previous/Reset: r47171, yes, manually input all settings
Mode/Status: WDS Station
Issues/Errors: NOT WORKING. Both routers decided to reset to defaults when they reboot (I have a connection watchdog looking for connection to my main WDS AP). I check them later in the day and they are both broadcasting a dd-wrt network, not connected to the main AP anymore, etc. I input all of the settings manually and it happens again within a few hours (next reboot). I decided to revert to r47135. Reset via GUI and input all settings manually. Worked fine. _________________ Before asking a question on the forums, update dd-wrt: Where do I download firmware? I suggest reading it all.

Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r47182 std (08/15/21)
Kernel: Linux 3.18.140-d6 #123104 Sun Aug 15 05:58:18 +07 2021 mips
Previous: Stock firmware
Mode/Status: Gateway/AP/Ok
Reset: Yes
Issues/Errors: The leds for switch ports 3 and 4 (numbers at the back of the unit) are always on. Ports seem to be working when a cable is connected.
A positive thing is that the Switch config GUI is showing the correct config and matches that of swconfig. This is contrary to the WDR4900 and Archer C7 V2 where the GUI is incorrect. _________________

Yes and no. Depends on if there were ever any nvram variables manipulated by startup script or by 'nvram set'. To rule out a possibility of an nvram corruption issue or old nvram variable values still being present, 'nvram erase && reboot' will likely tell if it is an actual problem with the webUI. I've already contacted BrainSlayer about it. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

I was not entirely accurate.
Flashing new firmware and Reset to default settings was chosen in the Firmware update GUI.
When the unit was up and running again with the new firmware a Factory defaults was performed.
The WDR4900 is currently doing important work, my daughter is using it, so I would like that one running for now, but the Archer C7 V2 is available for testing. _________________
