budget router recommendations

I'm looking for a budget router that is known to be well compatible with ddwrt, with more than 8 MB flash so I can run mega build on it.

I'm going to use it for a secondary wifi and it'll be running openvpn. I think openvpn is a computationally difficult for older chips but I don't really care about the speed.

Any suggestions welcome!
