Got this error when I tried to post a reply to the forum:

Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 503 AUTH command used when not advertised

DEBUG MODE

File : smtp.php
Nevertheless, the posting worked. Not sure whether it's related following thread, which triggered a Private Message to a user.

same here. Google Chrome 91, but probably not a browser-specific issue. Post was submitted successfully though. It didn't happen on 20July.

EDIT: Editing post doesn't give this error, probably related to the option "Notify me when a reply is posted"

So, let me test this theory on Epic. Yep, same thing. The server and forum software can be finnicky. @mwchang, I fixed that thread. Use your back button or quick links or something else to browse elsewhere from the page.

UPDATE: The issue should be fixed.

i had to edit a config today. but google chrome auto correction and auto insert messed up some other config which i did not want to edit. the smtp config of course
