Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.
Issues:
• Show us your findings with steps to reproduce, configuration, output, logs and important information below!
Important:
• For issues provide applicable info: 'dmesg', 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages', syslog, klog, serial, strace, tcpdump, wireshark etc.
• Any firewall NAT or WAN issues, show output: 'iptables -vnL', 'iptables -t nat -vnL', 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' and /tmp/.ipt file.
• Search SVN tickets & discuss in forum before opening. Before reporting: reset & manually set up, not restore from a backup.
• Please include operating & wireless modes (e.g. Gateway, Router, AP, CB, WDS, Mesh) & relevant configuration information.
Status: Up and running for 1 hour , basic setup as Gateway, static leases, 2,4GHz, 5Ghz (Vanilla Firmware), OpenVPN client to Keepsolid with PBR working, OpenVPN Server with site-to-site setup and local DNS working. WireGuard client to Keepsolid working, WireGuard client for site-to-site setup to own server working.
Errors: Nothing encountered yet (but not tested USB/NAS)
glad BS made this a public release...it's a keeper
I installed last night as soon as it hatched and according to my local time/date was before it was
even born I put on the EA8500 install page as recommended build

Status: Gateway, static leases, access restrictions, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz working (vanilla firmware), VLAN tagged trunk port between two r7800s working
Errors: Accessing DD-WRT admin web pages from Safari on iPhone doesn't work. Pages usually won't load, if they do load the pages are non-functional with weird formatting. Note the admin pages work fine from Firefox on my desktop. _________________ R7800 v3.0-r47086 std (07/22/21)

The wireless radios are working so far. So that is good.
Samba does not work. my computers and phone cannot access the samba share.
had an issue with not being able to access samba shares without an account until 46979. Now I cant even use samba at all after 47000 _________________ For people who are new to the dd-wrt forums >> http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html#rtfm

I did a quick test for Samba and it seems to work as intended.
USB stick with two ext2 shares one named opt the other jffs.
Mount automatically.
I do not have any user(s) made, no encryption, public shares with rw.
The shares are readily accessible without password etc. from Windows 10 and via winSCP
