Can't print Netgear R7000 on laptop after upgrading firmware

Ah glad you commented. That's how I did the initial flash.

Is this the correct build?

What's the difference between the .chk and .bin files?

Instructions say to flash the .bin file.

The .chk files are for initial flash; most all .chk files for official builds are factory-to-ddwrt files, which means they are for flashing from stock firmware. The .bin files are for upgrading (or downgrading) an existing DD-WRT installation. Yes, that is the current release... Rolling Eyes #pogothreadisnear

Thanks for the explanation. So since it's using the DD-WRT graphical interface I need the .BIN file.

Maybe what happened was that I upgraded the version and the old backup file wasn't compatible for the 2018 ver wasn't compatible with the newer 2020 ver. It stinks that they aren't compatible.

Using an nvram backup has caveats, especially when nvram variables change. I generally don't do any kind of reset until something goes screwy and want to clear out gremlins.

Ok, I saved printouts of the settings and will work on it and tell you how it goes. Thanks for the help!
