Now tried with 15200-8-1-none-none according to your suggestion with the same result: no response from the DIR-615. Tried with correctly connected and exchanged TX with RX.
Measured DC-voltages against GND: USB not connected TX 3,1V/ RX 2,3V; USB connected TX 3,2V/ RX 3,5V (whatever that means).
I think I shouldn't force you to invest more brainpower for an old device like this. I use it for WLAN in the basement, garden or garage and it runs under FW 47000. Although my ambition was to understand why I fail to get it run with newer FWs too.
