Hi,
I hope I am posting in the right place.
I am using a Linksys WRT3200ACM with the firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r34315 std (12/30/17).
I am trying to upgrade the firmware but there is no chance I succeed.
I tried the simplest way using the GUI and uploading the latest ddwrt-linksys-wrt3200acm-webflash.bin (44715). I get a failed message after 300s + 15min waiting time.
I tried then to get back to stock firmware, again failed.
I really do not understand what I am doing wrong. I do everything over LAN cable.
So, my question to the community would be how can I manage to upgrade my firmware or at least get back to stock firmware to be able to install the latest build ?
When upgrading , should I also set "reset" in DD-WRT GUI – Administration Tab – Firmware Upgrade ?
Any help or direction would be highly appreciated.

Firefox ESR portable or Pale moon portable. Internet Explorer. Private browsing mode, no extensions, not tied to your internet surfing. You don't select reset when upgrading via webUI.
I found this video about flashing via command line, but it doesn't look like it shows you have to verify which partition you are on. Hopefully, you have a better monitor so you can read what the heck is going on...
I'd recommend an ssh or telnet session to check/switch partitions and/or update. If client is Windows, Putty works great. From Putty, login as root, enter password (won't show but it's getting it), and run the following commands to load the lastest release:

And FWIW, that is NOT the latest build. It's not even close.
Do not use the router database. It is not maintained well.
Look at the new-build threads in this forum to figure out what's recent and doing well for owners of your model router. _________________ 2x Netgear XR500 and 3x Linksys WRT1900ACSv2 on 53544: VLANs, VAPs, NAS, station mode, OpenVPN client (AirVPN), wireguard server (AirVPN port forward) and clients (AzireVPN, AirVPN, private), 3 DNSCrypt providers via VPN.
