Linux ddclient was causing router to lockout logins

This issue has been plaguing me for a few years; never tracked down the cause until now...

Randomly, router's browser access gets shutdown with connection resets. This time, I shut down my browser and the router was still logging:

Began the search for what was trying to login...

Found it to be ddclient... ddclient.conf file contained an extra COMMA at the end of the password causing failures every 5 minutes which in turn caused the router to lockout logins after 5 failures...

Removing the comma resolved this issue.

DD-WRT does not contain ddclient. No idea why we're even posting about this, but thanks for the information. Perhaps you need to include all relevant information here as to why ddclient is logging into your webUI.
