I want to flash another Netgear R6300 V1 (flashed 3 others befor), but it dont work:
When I flash to dd-wrt from Netgear-Web-Interface, the Router ends bricked (33772 or 43078).
When I flash via serial recovery (Putty -> cfg -> tftpd ...), only the original Netgear Firmfare where flashable (R6300-V1.0.2.80_1.0.59).
The Netgear Firmware ist only 9 MB, dd-wrt 22-25 MB (mega/giga). Is there a smaller dd-wrt firmware?
Someone obviously edited the device wiki and probably created an issue unknowingly; that was likely the initial flash version in the device wiki before their edit.
Here is the first few test builds that were posted prior to 21676 for reference (you may wish to avoid these):
I tried downgrade the Firmware to 1.0.2.38 then flash with dd-wrt 33772 ... no, bricked again.
Then downgrade the Firmware to 1.0.0.68 then flash with dd-wrt 33772 ... no, bricked again.
Once more downgrade the Firmware to 1.0.0.68 then flash with dd-wrt 21676 ... Message: Wrong firmware
I tried again the Firmware 1.0.0.68 then flash with dd-wrt 33772 while looking at Putty-Output ...

This was after doing the proper reset per the wiki?
I wouldn't think that this would require extreme measures via serial recovery, but that is the only other resort. Was there any other third-party firmware flashed to this router ever?
EDIT: Thanks to this guide, I think I may have found a possible solution. You may try either of the two attached files for first flash and see if that gets you started, then you can likely upgrade to a newer firmware version.
WARNING: I have not tested either of these files personally, please ensure you have a means to de-brick (nmrpflash).

Unless you wish to help us troubleshoot and fix what is wrong with the firmware image. Or you can PM me and we can work something out so I can work with BrainSlayer to figure out the problem. You do have the option of flashing FreshTomato as well.
For some reason I now want to ask which browser you were using to flash via webUI; there's probably some way to get this going, as I have seen that this unit has been successfully flashed after looking through the bug tracker and the forum. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

I have already successfully flashed three other R6300 V1 to dd-wrt. This device is somehow different or defective.
Maybe I'll look into the device again in a few days. Now it's screwed back together and the original firmware has been installed.
