Hi, all-- I'm sorry for the basic question, but the results I've received from searching have confused me.

I've got an old Netgear R7000 that I want to extend my FIOS wireless network. (Verizon G3100 router in the basement.) I want to have a single, integrated network throughout the house but I can't seem to figure the settings I need to do so on the Netgear router.

It's important to my partner that there is a single big network, and not two network names, as she moves around the house and doesn't want to keep switching networks. (This plays hell with homepods). Is there a REALLY basic, step-by-step available anywhere for this situation?

Thanks,
Chris

Welcome to the forum.

To get the best out of DDWRT and the forum read the forum guidelines with helpful pointers:

If you have not already read the forum guidelines, please do !!

It is helpful if you state not only router model but also build number (see the forum guidelines)

The best way to have on seamless network is described in the following wiki:
https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Wireless_Access_Point

Provided you have a recent build (as of now the latest is 46979)
