Hello, I've been overclocking my Netgear R7000 with DD-WRT for about a year, but recently I noticed the clock speed has reverted back to the stock 1000 MHz. When I log into the router via telnet to check the speed, it reads "1000" instead of the "1200,800" I had set previously. I attempted to change the "1000" to "1400,800" and upon rebooting, the router was set to "1000" again. Was there a recent change that doesn't allow overclocking? Do I need to follow a new syntax to continue overclocking? Thanks!

EDIT: I am running the current latest build r46974.
EDIT 2: Setting clkfreq to "1200" also didn't work.

Unfortunately you have me to blame.

Overclocking was broken for a long time on Broadcom Northstar (it was working on Broadcom MIPS), well actually you could only underclock.

This has been corrected in this changeset:
https://svn.dd-wrt.com/changeset/46973

So now the GUI works again and you can use it to change the clock speed in the GUI, unfortunately not all clock speeds are allowed.

I have adapted it for my own needs so I can set CPU speed and DRAM speed in the GUI (and also allowed mild overclocking so I can run my R6400v1 from stock 800 to 1000 MHz Smile )

However that has not been made available for the general public Sad

But I think there is still a way to manually set the clock speed (does your R7000 not run very hot at 1400 MHz?), try this:
Code:
nvram set clkfreq=1400,800
nvram set overclocking=1400
nvram commit

After that reboot.

Let me know if that works.

I've given it a shot and it seems to be working thus far. Thanks a bunch!
