Hello i've tried to connect the dd-wrt router as a client with PIA over wireguard but i'm unable to connect.

i've reset the router to default settings and that works, but when i create the tunnel it doesn't work. It's a router behind a modem.

I quit using Private Internet Access because they did not support WireGuard on the router. Would be nice if they started to support it Smile

What instructions did you follow?

OK so PIA does not support Wireguard on the router but someone tries to reverse engineer it, maybe it does not work Sad

As allowed IP's try 0.0.0.0/1,128.0.0.0/1
But in this build 0.0.0.0/0 should also work.

you can try the troubleshooting steps but perhaps get a VPN provider which does support WG on the router?

Did you mean that PIA said they support wireguard on routers? If so, link? I just checked their site and didn't find it myself, nor could I find their wireguard configuration generator (which they'd presumably offer like their openvpn configuration generator). I'd previously asked and they'd said no, although I don't even remember how many months ago.

Update: They said they're still working on it.

https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/vpn-features/wireguard

no idea if its router supported, but if its an app supported than you can make it work on router too... their site is a mess, their customer support is 50/50 dumb, if you ask deep questions they cannot answer, they sometimes don't know what they are doing at all... Smile, they removed their host name server list and promoting using IP instead...all web site redesigned and missing some very useful futures...

Im not using Wireguard, i haven't tested PIA WG..I do not intent to use it at that point, at all..as OpenVPN has some futures that i need, where Wireguard is failing about..
