Archer C7 V5
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r46836 std (06/01/21)
GUI from 44715
Reset: yes, then loaded a 46788 old config
Mode: AP/Gateway, provides DHCP for other routers in bridge/router mode, runs DDNS, USB printer connected, 5 GHz wifi disabled, 2.4 GHz with additional guest virtual interface.
Issues (also present in others I tested: 44715, 46733, 46772, 46788):
- Wifi works for some hours, and randomly turns off/resets for a minute and restarts. LAN ports seem to work fine in the meantime, only wifi connections are dropped.
- A Tplink WA850RE vanilla extender refuses to connect to AP, showing for a second as a client in Status>Wireless, and then disappearing, cycling every 5 seconds. Randomly after some few minutes/hours it will finally connect, and connection remains stable until extender is restarted or wifi breaks (problem seems to happen only for initial handshake). Time for successful connection seems to have improved in this version, but still being around 10-15 minutes to connect. Same extender connects with no problem if connected through the first bridge router (therefore acting as a second level bridge).
- LED lights not working correctly in general, especially LAN port ones, but this seems to be an old reported issue.

I finally got upgraded to this build 3 days ago (from 44719). I did a full reset and updated all my configuration manually. Took hours! I am having issues now with all my IoT devices not staying connected. I reboot and everything eventually shows up, but starts dropping out after a few hours. The devices still show up in Status/LAN, but can not be pinged, until I reboot the router. Logs are not revealing at all. No errors. EA8500 router. Did not have this issue until the upgrade. It sucks too, because I also killed my Mozilla IoT and moved all to Home Assistant, so that makes trouble shooting very difficult. I should have known better. But when a device becomes un-pingable from my main computer, that pretty much points to DD-WRT. I am using the DD-WRT radio firmware on both 2.4 and 5ghz.
EDIT: Also, I cannot connect to the 2.4 side with my Android phone. NG-Mixed. 5ghz connects fine. _________________ Linksys EA8500 (Internet Gateway, AP/VAP) - DD-WRT r53562

My EA8500 had problems on the 2.4 after a while so I switched both radios to 'VANiLLA' firmware.
I haven't had any problems since ...AND r46885 is most likely the best recent build for the EA8500
You should prolly at least switch the 2.4 radio to 'VANiLLA'

I read the link you posted. Good info there. I will try r46885 as soon as I get off work. Already switched the radios back to Vanilla. But yea, things were all good for the first few hours, then all hell broke loose lol Hard to troubleshoot since I had also moved all my home automation devices to a new server, just none of their IPs had changed so it was driving me mad trying to troubleshoot it. Thanks for the tips!
EDIT: r46885 does seem to be working much better already. Hope I am not jinxing it! _________________ Linksys EA8500 (Internet Gateway, AP/VAP) - DD-WRT r53562

While the problem still persists even after updating to R46885, my Android phone and now an XBox360 cannot connect on the 2.4ghz. 5ghz is fine. Both on Vanilla with recommended settings. I am about to go back to 44719. Ugh! _________________ Linksys EA8500 (Internet Gateway, AP/VAP) - DD-WRT r53562
