Do not do 30-30-30 on Broadcom Arm routers you can brick them.
500 Mb/s is the usual with SFE on, with CTF&FA I get around 800 Mb/s on my R6400v1 which has the same CPU as yours.

But that will only work with static WAN or DHCP WAN and no QoS

Router/Version: Asus RT-AC68U
File/Kernel:Linux 4.4.268 #3139 SMP Fri May 21 05:16:59 +07 2021 armv7l
Previous/Reset: 42557
Mode/Status: AP
Issues/Errors: NAS

Atleast this and previous firmware what I've used seems to gently brick ssd and hdd drives. This always takes long time to come on. Might take a week, might take one month. But eventualy always goes with the same way. Samba stops working because usb sdd is not recognised correctly. It does find both partitions ok. But disk usage is not displayed at all.

It is not displayed at all because router has broken the disc structure in some way that is beyond me. Only way to fix the disc is to connect it to atleast windows pc and run chkdsk /f. Before that windows complains about broken disc what is need to be fixed.

Log from the chkdsk:

Stage 1: Examining basic file system structure ...
13056 file records processed. File verification completed.
Phase duration (File record verification): 314.60 milliseconds.
1 large file records processed. Phase duration (Orphan file record recovery): 0.00 milliseconds.
0 bad file records processed. Phase duration (Bad file record checking): 1.32 milliseconds.

Stage 2: Examining file name linkage ...
6 reparse records processed. 14692 index entries processed. Index verification completed.
Phase duration (Index verification): 650.74 milliseconds.

Phase duration (Orphan reconnection): 8.16 milliseconds.

Phase duration (Orphan recovery to lost and found): 7.92 milliseconds.
6 reparse records processed. Phase duration (Reparse point and Object ID verification): 4.44 milliseconds.

Stage 3: Examining security descriptors ...
Security descriptor verification completed.
Phase duration (Security descriptor verification): 5.77 milliseconds.
818 data files processed. Phase duration (Data attribute verification): 2.36 milliseconds.
Windows has found problems that must be fixed offline.
Please run "chkdsk /f" to fix the issues.

250056703 KB total disk space.
106747240 KB in 9479 files.
3028 KB in 820 indexes.
86639 KB in use by the system.
65536 KB occupied by the log file.
143219796 KB available on disk.

4096 bytes in each allocation unit.
62514175 total allocation units on disk.
35804949 allocation units available on disk.
Total duration: 998.80 milliseconds (998 ms).

I've tried another usb -> sata adapter and it made no difference.

I know that this is not good NAS but it should still work ok ? This is not the latest build either.

No other issues with the code is not found.

Please focus on 47182; upgrade. Reporting this issue on something that is in constant development (ksmbd), is moot. Thank you.
