Router still reboots spontaneously when any combination of CTF and FA is enabled.
With SFE it is works without issues.
I'm also experiencing this. I have CTF & FA enabled and my router (Netgear r6700v3) randomly rebooted itself today. No such issue with just CTF or SFE.
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r46733 mega (05/21/21)
Kernel Version: Linux 4.4.268 #9178 Fri May 21 14:19:05 +07 2021 mips
Upgraded: from DD-WRT v3.0-r46446 mega (04/24/21)
Reset: Yes
Status: Up and running for 2 hours, basic setup as Gateway, static leases, OpenVPN client (on Keepsolid) up and running, VPN download (speed 5 Mb/s), Wifi 2,4GHz working.
WireGuard client working (speed 23 Mb/s! )
Some simple speed testing (timed file up and downloading)
Without SFE: 40 /40 Mb/s, U/D
With SFE: 170/170 Mb/s U/D
With CTF: 270/330 Mb/s U/D
Errors: No, Seems like a good build.
Big Thanks to BS!
Encountered something really strange.
First some background, this is as secondary router connected to the family router and just setup as standard gateway.
Now the weird part: after a reboot I could no longer access my router from my Ethernet connected PC (no GUI no Telnet) and had no internet, lights on the router were on and the router seemed working.
I searched for my paper-clip to reset which is on my desk, my desk computer is on the primary router and for a last chance before resetting I tried to login to the E2000 from the WAN (I had remote administration enabled) and I could login without a problem.
What happened:
While the E2000 rebooted the PC attached (Windows 10) had acquired an IP address from the primary router!
After renewing the IP address all was well.
So while rebooting the switch had a direct connection between WAN and LAN.
Maybe I just noticed this and it has been already there maybe an update in Windows makes my PC acquire an IP address very fast?
Anyway if you encounter a non reachable router after reboot check /renew the IP address of your LAN client :)
Direct connecting WAN to LAN is not good in any case. Was your E2000 setup with CTF? _________________ Home Network on Telus 1Gb PureFibre - 10GbE Copper Backbone

How else do you link a secondary router that is in gateway mode to the primary router if you don't connect it's WAN port to a LAN port of the primary router? Perhaps the client PC of secondary router issue is something that should likely be looked into, but I'm failing to see the problem of a WAN to LAN connection here. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

This is what I was referring to. So do you think when you reboot your router that your LAN connects become WAN connections for enough time your devices have WAN IP Addresses is not an issue? This is what I'm reading.
I just what to know if this is a CTF issue and to avoid it. _________________ Home Network on Telus 1Gb PureFibre - 10GbE Copper Backbone

This is what I was replying to. You made it sound like cascading two routers in gateway mode is bad voodoo and should never be done.
If you read what I said in my previous post, I do think if it is a possible bug or issue, it should be investigated, for sure. But if it makes no difference if SFE or CTF is enabled or not, then it's not related to either or. I am pretty sure @egc will email BrainSlayer about it with the necessary details. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

@kp69 and @mac913, I just finished some more testing, the E2000 it is not much used and not much updated it is the spare OpenVPN and WireGuard server.
Regardless of disabling SFE or CTF the router has this behaviour and not only with rebooting but also with a cold boot so powering down and up also gets me the IP address of the primary router.
I realize that if the USB partition is formatted with Ext2 type and 1KB block size then the Diskspace under Disk Info shows wrongly (16.0E in the attached photo).
Ext2 + 2KB block can show the diskspace correctly
Ext4 + 1KB block can also show the diskspace correctly
@egc maybe you can add this info to your guide (until there's a fix)
Also, in the 2nd screenshot below, under Drive Manager, if I select EXT2 and click Format for /dev/sda2 (jffs) then the filesystem becomes EXT4 instead of EXT2

Router/Version: Netgear R7000
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r46733 std (05/21/21)
Reset: Yes
Mode/Status: Gateway, Wireless AP. Router is at 192.168.0.1. Note that SFE is enabled due to my 400mbps ISP speed.
Issues/Errors: Guest network not working
When I try to connect to the guest wifi, I do not get an IP address from the router.
On Wireless Tab:Basic Settings
I created Virtual Interface wl0.1
Wireless Network Name: GuestInternet
SSID Broadcast: Enable
Network Configuration: Unbridged
Multicast forwarding: Disable
Masquarade/NAT: Enable
Filter WAN NAT Redirection: Disable
Net Isolation: Enable
Forced DNS Redirection: Disable
IP Address 192.168.2.1/24
AP Isolation: Enable
On Setup Tab:Networking
Under DHCPD, added a DHCP server for wl0.1
What is amiss here? Is this a bug, or has the method of setting up a guest wifi changed? Is there any reason that SFE should interfere with a guest wifi?
Thanks egc, will try your idea for VAP issue... Also,

Issues/Errors: Unclear UI surround term "CTF"
Under Setup, I find there are two choices for Shortcut Forwarding Engine, "SFE" and "CTF". If I pick either, it improves the performance as I have a high internet speed.
The "Flow Acceleration" menu right below offers "Disable", "CTF" and "CTF & FA", no matter which of the two enabling options I choose for Shortcut Forwarding Engine. Since both menus have the term "CTF" mentioned in them, could someone clarify the meanings? Also when would "SFE" be preferred over "CTF" or vice versa?

In the previous build I didn't have any of those options, so I played today a little with then and I have also done some quick research, I found this:
