I have been running r44048 on all my routers for a few months but periodically my remote 1900 V1 (500') on WPS 5Ghz would go to sleep and had to be reset along with it's WPS AP and my Master 3200. Sometimes I could go weeks without a hiccup but other times it would occur daily. I tried "Keep Alive" daily on all routers which seemed to help but still occasionally got the disappearing act. As for the remote router completely disappearing it was still accessible via the 2.4Ghz which I would use to reset rather than walk out to the barn. So it's not hardware fault as I tried different routers and always had the same result. Even tried using the 3200 as the WPS AP which it already does to a slave 3200. No change with everything I tried. No, it's not power related as I put it on a UPS and switched numerous supplies.
Finally I gave up two weeks ago and reverted to R31924 which has been rock solid over the past two weeks. R44048 is still the only other build that would even come close but as I indicated it also suffers.
The main reason I bring this back up is it may be related to many of the other problems being encountered recently as I believe the enhanced handshaking in recent builds has changed and the timing gets messed up. This seems to only happen with the 1900 V1 where it is used remotely at the distance I have. I also mentioned that I need to reset both 1900's and my 3200 master which implies to me that the DHCP/DNS configuration is getting messed up somehow. I wish I could provide more info but the logs are clean and never show any fault. The radios are still active and everything appears normal except there is no communication. I tried putting the slave into Client/Bridged mode but that made no difference. I do have a third 1900 V1 somewhat closer to the WPS AP which has never dropped, so again it is a combination of distance and timing.
I appreciate that I am not as secure on the network with such an old build but I rely on being able to continually monitor and record from the dozen or so cameras in my barn and area.
