Issues/Errors: On the previous versions (<=04-24-2021), I am getting ethernet speeds of ~600mb/s. After this version (>=05-09-2021), I am getting ethernet speeds of ~350mb/s. The only changes in my tests are the firmware versions. I've tested on various versions before and after this update and I get consistent test results.

What do you mean with ethernet speeds? Is this the LAN <> WAN throughput?
Or is this between two clients on the LAN using ethernet?

How did you measure?
This is LAN <> WAN throughput. I have the following connection setup:
ONT -> Ethernet -> R6400 router mode with DDWRT -> Ethernet -> Client
Older firmwares: ~600mb/s
Newer firmwares: ~350mb/s
I've been testing using speedtest.net and the WAN connection is gigabit fios.
For reference, I will typically see 900+mb/s speeds when I replace the R6400 with a newer router and use the R6400 with DDWRT as an AP:
ONT -> Ethernet -> RT-AX58U router mode with merlin -> Ethernet -> R6400 AP mode with DDWRT -> Ethernet -> Client
Newest firmware: ~900mb/s
Unfortunately, I have not tested the speed of R6400 in Router mode with the stock firmware. If any of this would help, later today, I could:
1. test the R6400 in router mode with DDWRT with a reset config
2. test the R6400 in router mode with stock firmware.
Is my best solution to buy a non-broadcom-based router?
Did you reset config when upgrading? If not, that may well be the problem. I can confirm that port forwarding very much does work on 6400v1 with CFT on latest firmware.

I did try a full reset and flash latest r49467. Then I enabled some port forwarding and confirmed working. As soon as I enable CTF, I lose Port Forwarding. And after reboot. Are these the correct exact settings to use here:
- Shortcut Forwarding Engine: CTF
- Flow Acceleration: CTF & FA
Also, I am using Port Range Forwarding, not Port Forwarding. Does that make a difference?

Apologies, if only you'd specified Port Range Forwarding initially. I am using Port Forwarding. I assume they're at least somewhat different, since range forwarding doesn't appear to translate to another port. Perhaps checking the iptables rules as explained in the linked thread might show you what's happening, one of my port forward rules looks like so (in Chain PREROUTING):

@ZenInTexas fell free to open a separate thread initially providing the info above to start a discussion there rather than taking over this thread. Which then you can provide detailed screenshots of you setup until the point where it goes awry.
If you enabled CTF (level 1 software optimization) then it wont play nice with QoS unless it's adaptive (idk if DD-WRT even supports that), CTF & FA (level 2 software + hardware acceleration) if you have it doesn't even want to go there at all and may even have other issues. But lets discuss them on this thread you will create.

I also tried with CTF without FA and it still messes up my port forwarding.
Later, I can try checking iptables rules.

<r46604: ~600mb/s, PF works
>=r46604, no CTF, no FA: ~350mb/s, PF works
>=r46604, yes CTF, no FA: ~600mb/s, PF broken
>=r46604, yes CTF, yes FA: ~900mb/s, PF broken

You will need special configs for port forwarding with CTF or CTF & FA (its how its intended to work CTF its doing it job as expected, you only really need CTF for WAN speeds over 200Mbps and CTF & FA for Giga WAN. Any other speeds default SFE will take you there, and like I said;
