Hi everyone,
I've been trying to make IPV6 DHCP work using the Native IPV6 from my ISP as this is the only way the router gets an IPV6 address. Most of the post here is using DHCP with prefix delegation and I've tried to replicate what they did but to no avail.
I prefer to use the Dnsmasq options to do this if possible. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Router: Asus RT-N18u
Firmware: Firmware: V3.0-r-46733
Changed the setting in DDWRT to prefix delegation with a 64 prefix length.
Attached below is my IPV6 route in DDWRT. I find it weird why it is only registering under vlan2 interface. I did not add any routing yet as I'm trying to see if I still need to do that or whatnot.
Also, I tested the dnsmaq options for V4 just to see if it was really working since the ipv6 options I added does not work, fortunately the ipv4 options works so I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.
Here's my Dnsmasq options atm:
interface=br0
dhcp-option=br0,6,1.1.1.1,1.0.0.1
dhcp-leasefile=/tmp/dnsmasq.leases
dhcp-lease-max=2000
dhcp-option=br0,3,10.1.1.1
dhcp-authoritative
dhcp-range=br0,10.1.1.50,10.1.1.254,255.255.255.0,360m
# These commands are to enable WAN IPv6 (NOT WORKING)
dhcp-range=::10,::200,constructor:br0,ra,stateless,slaac,64,24h
enable-ra
quiet-ra
quiet-dhcp
quiet-dhcp6

to be honest I have never gotten dnsmasq on DD-WRT to work with IPv6... I have not figured out why because I have a self-built router based on debian that I have using dnsmasq for IPv6 with no problems, that I have deployed...
It is on my list to investigate more but I have other projects that are higher priority and the IPv6 tab versions are working fine
