Hello everyone.
I did a little research in this forum (and the main reason to join it) about netowrk prinetrs and problem with network trough ddwrt routers.
I have WR841N V9 router that I upgraded to latest version (beta) 44715.
Based on my previous knowledge of Ubuntu somehow I maneged to put it to work and connect my computers in my office network.
The only thing that still remain unsolved is Ricoh MP301 network printer. It simply could not be recognised by other computers in my network. As a starting information, it could be seen from WR841N in terminal mode BUT looks like the information about presence of the printer on the network is lost so other computers juct can not see it.
Intereting, my other printer wich is WIFI connected is easily recognised trough the network.
Did someone is willng to help to solve this problem as soon as possible or point to existing same problem already solved or similar ?
I have to mention that printer have static IP address 192.168.1.144, one of a dozen from same network ip adderss started with 192.168.1.xxx .
Thank you in advance.

First thing is try to ping your printer IP address from one of the clients.
After that, if your printer supports it, telnet to it from one of the clients.
If you have real connectivity between the clients and the printer, then it should be something related with the drivers and/or the setup. _________________ If you want support, please read first the announcements and forum rules.

Unfotunately answer is no. No passaran of ping to printer. As I said. It is pinged from router but from router to other computers the signal is lost.

Hello,
That is not even close to the latest version. See the link in my signature. _________________ Before asking a question on the forums, update dd-wrt: Where do I download firmware? I suggest reading it all.
QCA Best WiFi Settings
Some dd-wrt wiki pages are up to date, others are not. PM me if you find an old one.
Atheros:
Netgear R7800 x3 - WDS AP / station, gateway, QoS
TP-Link Archer C7 v2 x2 - WDS Station
TP-Link TL-WDR3600 v1 - WDS Station
TP-Link 841nd v8 - NU
D-Link 615 C1/E3/I1 x 7 - 1 WDS station
D-Link 825 B1 - NU
D-Link 862L A1 x2 - WDS Station
Netgear WNDR3700v2 - NU
UBNT loco M2 x2 - airOS
Broadcom
Linksys EA6400 - Gateway, QoS
Asus N66U - AP
Netgear WNDR3700v3 - not used
MediaTek
UBNT EdgeRouter X - switch
I will check it today, thank you. I suppose that in DHCP page i should change maximum numbers from 50 to 30 (for example) in order to work and to be recognised ?
Anyway, result will be posted here

I noticed that and find out that latest version is from March 2021. Today I am going to update it again. My firmware was downloaded from this site in Downloads section.
If you have not implemented the LAN ports isolation startup script fix, then that may be part of your issue.
To get the right version of what needs to be put in your startup, need the output of 'swconfig list' via ssh to your router.
I browsed to the post mentioning isolation startup script fix so I wonder if I should run these commands and what I would get from it:
swconfig dev switch0 set reset 1
swconfig dev switch0 set enable_vlan 1
swconfig dev switch0 set apply
????
Ok, got some small progress:
I managed to execute this command:
swconfig dev switch0 set reset 1
What I got was a recognising of netowrk printer BUT router got stuck and no response from it, so I had to hard reset it to it factory settings. Lucky me I got backup file
Also swconfig dev switch0 set enable_vlan 1 : router got stuck
Looks like I found the part of the problem.
Now it is opening a question how everyting to make it work ?
Should I first run swconfig dev switch0 set enable_vlan 1 and after that swconfig dev switch0 set reset 1 or something third in common ?

Under Administration->Commands, copy and paste this into the input box and then click on "save startup", then reboot the router.
Code:
swconfig dev switch0 set reset 1
swconfig dev switch0 set enable_vlan 1
swconfig dev switch0 set apply
Optionally, you can also try this version, since it found eth0:
Code:
swconfig dev switch0 set reset 1
swconfig dev switch0 set enable_vlan 1
swconfig dev eth0 set enable_vlan 1
swconfig dev switch0 set apply
swconfig dev eth0 set apply

The Startup script should work without crashing device on a CLEAN basic Gateway or router setup:
EDIT:
swconfig dev eth0 set reset 1
swconfig dev eth0 set enable_vlan 1
swconfig dev eth0 set apply
(or same commands eth0 replaced by switch0)
eth0 is the WAN port on my WR940/941 system, so I use switch0 commands.
It only enables VLAN support for the 4 port switch chip, it should not crash the router. If it crashes there is a conflict with other settings to my knowledge. A wrong setting only disables LAN or WAN port usage not WLAN. If WLAN SSID is still available the device is not crashed.
Perform with telnet a nvram erase && reboot, manually do a basic setting for your destination mode "gateway" and apply the swconfig commands without applying any special settings.Reboot device
Then check that any LAN attached device is pingable and accessible from LAN and WLAN (same subnet). Then add your "special settings" manually. Do not import settings made with a different build of dd-wrt.
If there is a problem with your imported settings it will crash device again.
A known good build for your device is r40750, I cannot comment the newest builds for your hardware, I personally prefer the build with the longest uptime without reboot needed for my device usage.
Take a look at kevintung5525 post here, there is maybe some other helpful info

That build is lacking key vulnerability and security patches.46395 is what I am currently running on *all* TL-WR*4*N* devices without issue.
I use this build as Router Mode (AP) behind a known secure Internet gateway. I never used this slow device as Internet provider Gateway, so it does not hurt me. Wired to the Guest LAN Port on the Main Gateway it is secure enaugh, as all the mobile devices are using guest network, so the attached devices are the less secure for me. For Internet provider Gateway I prefer more recent hardware (and manufacturer firmware support).
