Upgraded WRT1200AC v1's from r46166 to r46177 using Brave 1.10.91 (64-bit) running on Linux Mint 20.1 OS hardwired via Cat6.
Successful update and reboot. No reset, nothing disabled prior to update, uptime approx 48 hrs, wired/wireless connected, vpn up immediately (Expressvpn). I do not use NAS. SFE and IPv6 are always disabled. OpenVPN client/DNSMasq, QoS with PIE always enabled. I do not have any Apple devices.
Kernel Version Linux 4.9.263 #2511 SMP Fri Mar 26 05:14:07 +07 2021 armv7l

Linksys 3200ACM upgraded from 42054 to 44715 then to 46177. found if I have 2 or more VAP configured, shortcut forwarding engine automatically disables and I'm unable to enable it. I can apply the configuration although on reboot it disables SFE again. lastly found that this issue is more sensitive if I have a single VAP on the 2.5ghz radio that is unabridged (guest network), it again will disable SFE. This was not an issue in 42054 I'm unsure which version this issue started in, but both RR44715 and 46177 exhibit this behavior.
After a few days up, our wrt1900acsv2 has begun having issues. Webif is lost after about an hour, and wireless connectivity is lost overnight. This morning, I ssh'd in and rebooted, and then lost webif again within an hour. Wifi is still working at the moment. Attached is the dmesg after webif became unresponsive. _________________ My DD-WRT Routers:

Same happens here. My kernel log (/var/log/messages) has also weird “dead hostapd” lines (as you can read in my reply)

Comments:
Unlike the Linksys firmware in Wireless Bridge mode, the dd-wrt firmware isolates the primary and secondary router's networks just like I wanted. Its been up and stable for 48+ hours with a mix of 16 total Windows, macOS, iOS and HomeKit capable clients. Thanks!! Plan to add NAS then VPN after a week or so of stability.
I've just revisited this build for comparison between r46069 and r46380. With Apple devices specifically included in the mix, all's well including 2.4G except that NO devices can connect on 5G! Since that issue's not present in either of the builds I was comparing, and accounting for my previous results for this build, I'll move on. Attached is a combined log. _________________ My DD-WRT Routers:
