Setup-Networking "Label"

Under Setup/Networking/Port Setup, there's a box for each port called "Label". Is this a place to apply a convenient name, and/or does it serve another function?

See my screen snip below. I filled in this box with WAN-CABLE just to highlight it.

It is there for information purposes.

When you have multiple bridges, VLAN, or VAP, it can help identify the correct ones when you do assignments.

Thanks - I assumed as much, but I didn't recall seeing that field in my previous version (R41218).
