Hi,
I'm just getting started.
I'm not really sure what I want or need.
My main reason is to get a secure network.
Some VPN so my computer and phone can do 'everything that it can at home' sounds nice.
But now I have been looking around, I get a lot of ideas.
I'm thinking to setup several SSID's, but I am not sure what is possible.
Can I setup a SSID for my IoT devices? They should be allowed only on whitelisted sites on the internet. They should be allowed on my local webserver. But except for that only to use things on the IoT-Wifi-net.
Can I setup a multimedia-net for my TV and stuff like that. Pretty much as above, except it will be on some other sites (Netflix and stuff). And access to NAS.
Then of course my main net and I guess a guest net as well.
Where do I learn more. |

as KP69 noted above... those are good points to start with, than gain some knowledge, get some ideas, do some research here in the forum or google, try some stuff, share your experiments, tell us what you tried what you want to achieve, give as many details, as possible, so ppl here will be able to understand, what you want, what you tried and be able to share some knowledge...
Forum itself has an enormous base of ideas and how to...but no one will be able to pour all his knowledge, directly to your brain in a one go...if you do not understand the matter....
with DDWRT almost everything is possible...
