I know you got a profile page cause it is stated in the lost password email.

I would think there's groups that are formed based on their router. I've yet to find that. Linksys routers maybe?

Quick Links is in the upper right and the groups are hardware based, not brand or model.

OOOooohhhhhhhhh there it is.........

Also updates are unheard of in doing to the configured routers, correct? So even a router last used 4yrs+ is up to date?

Thanks for your help,

Nothing on updates. Also nothing on updates at -
Forum guidelines and pointers, read first!

Even doing a search really doesn't come up with much. I'm sure I could find something, but I though since there was a focus here, I could get it done.

Let me see, my magic crystal ball must be malfunctioning since we have no idea what router you're using and wanting information on updating firmware on. I'm going to be nice and not throw the padlock on this thread for complete disregard for forum rules and guidelines.

I have no clue how updates are handled here. I do remember there was some steps on my installation for updates. I never really looked into it and had a feeling that "updates" are like hens teeth.

Not sure also if I have a V1. I'm thinking V1s aren't labeled as such, yet V2s are. I got my money on V1s having no declaration at all.

I have a Linksys WRT 1900AC and betting it's a V1

Start reading here:

Forum Rules and Guidelines English

Then direct your attention to the Marvell MVEBU based Hardware (WRT1900AC etc.) forum for build release threads and other helpful information in the stickies and announcements.

Instead of fixating on the word "update" without reading, see where to download firmware as an example.

All covered in the rules and guidelines (your question answered in the first part) also wiki and stickies.

Stop betting, "Model No." is on the bottom of your router see the label or sticker in the upper right.

Good idea! I go to search for firmware for the router and I'm given 2 options for V1 and V2. I click Documentation and FAQ. They say to see DD-WRT wiki, or
If you are missing something, please feel free to add information to the wiki or ask users in the forum. Often there are solutions that are not published via the wiki, yet.

I'm betting I can find the solution on updates by doing a convoluted search and reading. For some reason it is not that highlighted here. So not holding my breath.
