I have been using DD-WRT for a while. I had two WRT1900AC routers running
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r40559 std (08/06/19)
rock solid for a long time.
Decided to upgrade one of the routers to WRT3200ACM. Installation of DD-WRT and configuration went well. However, I am having big time issues with the wireless.
I have tried versions r40559, r44715 and r46069. Except wireless most other features I use appear to work well.
Here is the issue. Certain devices like a smart TV and Roku will work fine over the wireless. However, an attempt to connect a computer or a phone on the same wireless channel causes the entire channel to die and only a reboot of the router will make it available again. Here is the details of the interface I am trying to get going first.

In my interest of having a working WRT3200ACM, I will be happy to provide any additional details or logs if I know what will be of help. Also, I will be happy to perform any testing required.
Second, do a factory reset by either holding down the red button for 10 seconds OR Telnet to router IP as username root and your password. "nvram erase && reboot" no quotes. You will have to login to 192.168.1.1 and type in the configuration again.
Third, setup your wireless settings to something like this:
2.4GHz ATH1
Wireless Mode AP
Wireless Network Mode NG-mixed
(if your clients are really old, you may need BG-mixed or mixed)
Channel Width Full (20 MHz)
Wireless Channel 11 - 2462 MHz
TurboQAM (QAM256) support Disable
Wireless Network Name (SSID) XXXXX
Wireless SSID Broadcast Enable
ATH2 - DISABLE
Advanced Settings (mostly the same for both antennas)
TX Power 30 dBm
Antenna Gain 0 dBi
U-APSD (Automatic Power Save) Disable
Protection Mode None
RTS Threshold Disable
Short Preamble Enable
Short GI Enable
Single User Beamforming Enable (5GHz only)
Multi User Beamforming Disable (5Ghz only)
AP Isolation Disable
Beacon Interval 100
DTIM Interval 2
WMM Support Enable
ScanList default
Sensitivity Range (ACK Timing) 0
Max Associated Clients 256
Drop Clients with Low Signal
Minimum Signal for authenticate -128
Minimum Signal for connection -128
Poll Time for signal lookup 10
Amount of allowed low signals 3
Multicast To Unicast Disable
Network Configuration Bridged
Radio Time Restrictions
Radio Scheduling Disable
Fourth, setup wireless security for all antennas:
WPA2 Personal
CCMP-128 (AES)
Give it a nice long shared key
(if they are really old clients, you may need to drop down to WPA Personal)

Thanks for the reply and suggestions.
I have not switched to version 44048 yet but almost ready to do so. I am currently operating on version r46069 (very new). Different versions I have tried so far do not appear to make any difference to my issue.
However, I switched the wireless configuration to B/G Mixed and trying to connect a computer does not immediately make the wireless channel unusable. It is still unstable but usable for a while.
I assume that the computer I am connecting is an old one and not compatible with the newer protocols. However, should this just not allow the computer to connect instead of making the entire channe unusable? Appears like a bug to me. Could someone explain?
The wireless works great, all i did was leave all the wireless in the default settings wpa2, then give all ssids the exact same name and same passwords.
One of the antenna decides which 2.4 or 5 to use .
