Router Model: Netgear R6260
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r45955 (03/09/21)
Kernel Version: Linux 4.14.224 #878 SMP Tue Mar 9 19:53:48 +07 2021 mips
CPU Model: MediaTek MT7621 ver:1 eco:3
CPU Cores: 4
CPU Features: MIPS32r1 MIPS32r2 MIPS16 DSP MT

Hello all, I am really struggling with this Netgear R6260. I have had this since January and I am not too sure what the issue is. I installed DD-WRT (as I have done for all my previous routers) and proceeded to setup my configuration (Static IP, VPN etc etc). I am then left with two issues:

1. If I reboot the router then all settings are wiped and I have to set everything up again.
2. If I do not reboot, then after 3-7 days, the settings will be reverted to default.

I have gone back to stock firmware and the router is stable and maintains settings etc after reboot (minus all the good stuff you get with DD-WRT). I have tried all firmware versions for 2021 making sure that reset settings is selected during firmware upgrade and completed 30-30-30 after each install also.

DD-WRT v3.0-r45592 (01/28/21) seems to be the most stable, lasting over 2 weeks without losing settings. Wifi does not work with this firmware version, but that's not too much of an issue as there is a separate mesh in place.

I am wondering if anyone else is having any similar issues or knows of a way to fix this?

You don't 30-30-30 this router, not required. All you should *ever* have to do is:

1) reset to defaults via the webUI

2) telnet / ssh in and issue an 'nvram erase && reboot'

3) press and hold the reset button for ~7 seconds

You're likely soft-bricking your router.

Followed the above instructions on all available firmware versions [currently on DD-WRT v3.0-r46130 (03/21/21)] but still have the same issue.

Tried via both telnet and ssh. Any other suggestions?

Apologies for delayed response.
