Router: Linksys WRT1900ACSv2
Firmware DD-WRT v3.0-r45928 std (03/06/21)
Kernel Linux 4.9.259 #2469 SMP Sat Mar 6 02:01:30 +07 2021 armv7l
Reset: Yes.
The reset was done by itself when moving from r44048. This I did not choose and did not expect. To avoid possible failures, I performed another reset immediately after entering the username and password. The first start contained a considerable number of red entries in the log, but from the third start the launch became stable.
Mode:
Shortcut Forwarding Engine - Enable.
SmartDNS: Prefetch Domain - Enable; Serve Expired - Enable; config - /jffs/etc/smartdns.conf.
5 GHz: AP AC/N-Mixed, VNT80, Channel 149+UU, U-APSD, RTS Threshold - 980, Short Preamble, Short GI, Single User Beamforming.
2.4 GHz: AP NG-Mixed, HT40? Channel 5+U , U-APSD, RTS Threshold - 980, Short Preamble, Short GI.
Security: WPA2 Personal CCMP-128 (AES)

Our family has one Apple device, but there is no way to test its operation at 5 GHz. I see in the log that the connection is sometimes made and ... that's all. I will add that for this iPhone I had to buy an additional router - MikroTIk - it covers the blind zone not covered by Linksys. The signal from MikroTIk is good, and basically Apple keeps it, automatically switches to 2.4 or 5 GHz, depending on the distance to the point.
NAS via USB:
/dev/sda - Block device, size 931.5GiB, Partition: 1-Ext4, 2-Ext4 , 3-swap.
NFS Server: Shared the same partitions as in Samba.
Samba: Protocol Version SMB 2.10\SMB 3.11
Sadly SMB is still unstable on Linksys. Previously, this was reported in every announcement of a new firmware. I bought into it - I thought that the problems were fixed, but ...
The connection to the NAS may be lost by the Windows client out of the blue. This is especially true when the client comes out of sleep. At the same time, other clients also cannot connect, even if they did not sleep, but start over. Only the instruction "stopservice samba3; startservice samba3" helps.
To ensure at least some stability on my home SMB network, I took a few steps:
1. Organized in a mini-NAS with SMB (in the same group) for files that require periodic synchronization in the process - these are MS OneNote and Mozilla Thunderbird.
2. Samba on the router starts with a modified config in Startup:
"stopservice samba3; startservice samba3 -c /jffs/etc/smb.conf -u /tmp/smb.db;"
3. The same command is executed in "Additional Cron Jobs" once a day.
The essence of the changes in smb.conf I have already reported in my other posts:
Code:

[global]

# map to guest = Bad User
map to guest = never

# usershare allow guests = Yes
usershare allow guests = No

[HomeHDD]
comment = HomeHDD
path = /jffs/Share
read only = no
# guest ok = yes
guest ok = no
force user = root

Hopefully SMB will be fixed someday as well as Wi-Fi in the latest firmware.
PS
Small addition:
I noticed that NFS clients cannot access the share for a long time after restarting the router. Sometimes they need to be restarted again.

Upgraded my 1900ACSv1 via Safari from 44048. I followed crunch's upgrade method from the previous release - held the reset button for 10 seconds while running 44048, upgraded to 45928, held the reset button again for 10 seconds, manually typed the configuration back in. Rebooted several times.

Problems with Apple devices remain: Wifi stays connected but most traffic stops flowing. Pings stop between the router and device and visa-versa. Speedtests on one or two Apple devices can reproduce the problem within minutes. Recycling the wifi on the affected device fixes it right away.

Couple hours of testing this morning: The wireless status page shows the hung device as connected to 5ghz VHT80SGI, but rx rate is 48M. 48M appears to be normal for an apple device that is idle, but on a healthy connection, the rx rate shoots up to 780M or more when the device starts sending traffic. However on a hung connection, the rx rate is 48M and never changes. Enabling U-APSD did not make a difference. I also tried turning off 'private address' on the MACOS wifi connection, but that did not help either.

44048 is the last good release if you have Apple devices in your environment. Something broke with 44085 and 44112.

Linksys WRT1900ACSv1: router mode, hardwired ethernet lan to a WRT3200ACM. WIFI: 2.4ghz: NG-mixed, 20mhz channel width, channel 11, WPA2-CCMP-128. 5ghz: AC/N mixed, 80mhz channel width, channel 36+upper, WPA2-CCMP-128.

Clients: Apple MACOS x 4, IOS x 4, Apple TV, Chromecast Audio x 2, Eufy doorbells, Lutron Caseta, Axis Camera, Samsung TV, Nest thermostat, EtekCity outlets (Espressif)..

PavelVD is right on target. I love ddwrt, and the last thing I want to do is imply different. But here comes the "big but". In order to maintain a dependable and properly running WIFI connection in my home, I have to run external access points and disable the WIFI radios on my WRT3200ACM V1. I also have removed the NAS/SAMBA drive from the router, and have set up a true NAS to take its place due to the problematic NAS/SAMBA over the router. So, what I really have is a WRT3200ACM V1 router that is nothing but a VPN client and 4 port Enet router. Seems to be a very clean VPN client, but I suspect the hardware is going to be long passed its usefulness before another device comes along that attracts my attention.

the guest okay config can be configured by setting a username. your guest ok = no will lead to no possible connection as guest. so i dont know whats the point of your config. fixing something you havent properly configured? so set your share to non public (uncheck the public checkbox) and guest okay will be = no.
the config "usershare allow guests" is a non existing config entry in ksmbd. is pointless to configure it in any way.

Update:After 2 days up, we've noticed some 5Ghz wifi disconnect issues with an iPhone (and I'm not sure why that's not falling back to 2.4GHz since same 802.1x SSID), but otherwise all's running well. Other than that, only one random ntp update error and one DNS-rebind warning in the syslog:

Mar 6 23:35:33 WRT1900ACSv1 daemon.info hostapd: wlan0.1: STA e0:33:8e:xx:xx:xx (redacted) IEEE 802.11: deauthenticated due to session timeout
Mar 7 20:35:48 WRT1900ACSv1 daemon.err process_monitor[2426]: cyclic NTP Update failed (servers pool.ntp.org)
Mar 8 08:51:15 WRT1900ACSv1 daemon.warn dnsmasq[1908]: possible DNS-rebind attack detected: u.web2go.com

I can only assume your definition of reset is Administration -> Factory Defaults -> Restore Factory Defaults.
Hardware reset (hold reset button 10 seconds) or nvram erase && reboot from Telnet as username root.
Any large build jump, in this case several months, should rebuild configuration manually from scratch.

For now I will add that I cannot hide "Wi-Fi Speedchecker" and "DNSCRYPT" with the "hide this box" button. I click it and save the configuration, but after restarting the router and selecting the "Status" tab, these things are back on the screen.

Upgraded 3200 ACM directly from previous version to this one.

I have not had any issue whatsoever but I do not use USB storage or anything too advanced besides DNSCRYPT and OpenVPN as a client.

Apple devices are holding really well on extended sleep for anyone wondering, but my devices have been barely affected by this ever.

There's nothing wrong on the syslog.
