After antsvx's post in the tracker, I wanted to test this today anyway....

So RTS Treshold + ACK Timing 0 works for me too

Works for me also R7500v2 r45875 using either DD-WRT or Vanilla firmware.

I wouldn't mind trying that build, too, but I have no clue where to find alpha builds. I suppose it's in a hidden directory.

Currently running 45863 on an R7800.
2.4 GHz: Vanilla f/w, RTS/CTS disabled.
5 GHz: DD-WRT f/w, RTS/CTS enabled, threshold 2346.

Before disabling RTS/CTS on 2.4 GHz, using recent builds I experienced very regular annoying (15 or more seconds long) interruptions in video streaming to a Chromecast module.
Disabling RTS/CTS apparently took care of that.

Before disabling RTS/CTS I also saw some WebGUI loading crashes when I experimentally used WiFi for my laptop upon upgrading the f/w. I reconnected the ethernet cable soon after and the WebGUI problems were gone. I didn't make the connection until I read about WebGUI problems on the forum.

Ack timing for both radio's has been at 450 for a long time. Small apartment home with just a few WiFi clients.

He meant the syslog / kernel log output from /var/log/messages from the router. You can either go to 'Status->Syslog' and copy/paste the contents of each page into a text file and attach it to a post, OR copy all from PuTTY, depending on how far your scrollback is set to go.

At least he showed a description of important configuration information, enabled VAP both radios.

Noise Immunity Enable, QCA Q-Boost / TDMA Enable, Sensitivity Range 500 (not using auto ACK timing zero)

Router/Version: R7800
File/Kernel: dd-wrt-webupgrade-netgear_r7800-r45863.bin
Previous/Reset: dd-wrt-webupgrade-netgear_r7800-r45849.bin / no reset
Mode/Status: WDS 5GHz
Issues/Errors: I didn't spend much time diagnosing what happened but it's the same issue as the previous build. I created a 5GHz VAP and a 2.4 GHz AP and they tested OK but when I disabled them the WDS station radio wifi quit working. The 5GHz radio indicator was lit on the router. I did this on just one WDS station router this time so I only had to reset and restore this one router to get it working as a WDS station again.

"The Protection Mode=None and Disabling RTS Threshold or ACK timing=0 fixes are no longer required as of

r45890. All working on the R7500v2." - bushant 03/03/2021 https://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/7307#comment:10

Yes, I am hoping this pregnant pause in commits means that the alpha will be uploaded and released as a beta today... since pretty much all of my test devices are running it Cool
