The hostname of the wireless clients do not show up in the radioname field even though all devices have a hostname. Doesn't matter if it's a Windows or Linux machine or if it's an Android or iphone or any of my other wireless devices. The hostnames do show up for the WDS stations after I edited the setup page to give the router a hostname. I've even tried putting in a DHCP-client ID on a linux box using NetworkManager but it still doesn't show up. So, anyone know what else I have to do? By the way, I'm NOT referring to Status->LAN page.
I have many times wondered the same thing. I would also like to see the hostname rather than trying to memorize MAC addresses _________________ Linksys: Several WRTxx00AC variations | Netgear: 4x WNDR4500v2, 7x WNDR4300, R6400v1 | Asus: 2x RT-AC66U | Gl.inet: 3x GL-AR150
Good point! That would make life easier.
However basic question is if Radioname is Hostname. This might be some not used / obsolete field. However even though Radioname might show Hostname, or column might be changed to Hostname.
Can anyone please shed some light on this topic? _________________ Linksys WRT32X - DD-WRT v3.0-r50551 std (10/19/22)
