I've been trying to set up an isolated guest WiFi with no success on my WRT1900AC V1. I do have a virtual AP working, but I cannot figure out how to isolate it from devices on the wired (Ethernet) network, nor how to give it a different subnet.

The instructions in the DD-WRT Wiki - https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Guest_Network - point to fields that don't exist in the UI, most notably in the "Prior to 23020" section, the Setup -> Network bridges don't have any way to assign them to a different subnet.

So, how do I do this? I presume it is possible.

My configuration:
WRT 1900AC V1, running r45690, AP + gateway (PPOE)
dnsmasq for DHCP server
Not much else running on the device except YaMon3

How to VLAN tag WAN traffic for ISP on WRT1900AC v1 - SOLVED

VLAN success on WRT1900ACSv2, WRT3200ACM, et al.

Edit: Oops, you are looking for unbridged VAP. The wiki is old, but there should be forum threads about it.

https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Guest_WiFi_+_abuse_control_for_beginners

Here is one example, but unfortunately eibgrad's posts have been deleted.

Those are great resources!

Here's one more, from when I took a crack at an updated walk through the topic not long ago. Third post at https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1217070

Ah - I think I see what I was missing: set to "unbridged". Then I start seeing the IP address fields & so forth.

I had presumed I needed "bridged" in order to get WAN access, but it appears from the various links helpful folks have posted that this is not the case.

Thank you all.

EDIT: Works like a charm, it's exactly what I needed. Thanks guys!
