I know there is probably no such thing, but what is the best build for the R7000? I've tried a few of the recent ones and seeing issues around VAP and wifi speeds..

Which build is your go-to build which has most things working?

last 45493 is fine for me, but im not using VAP (it should work) or WiFi ...

coming from an old build, you must do a reset manual reconfigure...

usually for stability, have a look at new builds threads, all info is there...

setting VAP have a look

Yes you are probably right. It seems to have settled down though. Can i do a reset, followed by loading the exported settings so i don't have to manually configure everything again?

I have been very happy with release 41811 - 12/28/19. While its been a year, it has been rock solid and I have it running on ~15 routers on my house and the homes of friends and extended family.

With the way things are going these days, at any given point in time use the next available public release.

For example, take a look at build 01/19/2021 - r45493 and you can see R7000 feedback is mostly positive.

One "minor issue with the packet count on wl0.1 and "Connected Clients" stuck at zero" but without reset.

There might be an exception here and there, but for the most part bumps in the road are resolved quickly.

Understand more people who prove, verify or log new problems increases probability of a fast turnaround.

Thanks all..

I have been running 45493 for a few days now, and after some initial glitches it seems to be running fine now.. (glitches probably caused by me not resetting settings)..

Anyway, I just want to see if anybody else had a go-to build they could recommend, in case any of the more recent ones didnt work out for me. Im sticking with 45493 for now, it seems to be a good one. Smile
