Refract DD-WRT Novice

I am having the same issue, that is unable to connect to wl0.1 on br1. I am however using an Asus RT-66u. I understand the ports map differently.
My question is twofold. Does (my)the newest release have this issue? If so, is this the most current solution and simplest approach/solution.
