When to Upgrade Firmware (Netgear R6400v2)?

I have a Netgear R6400v2 and I'm currently using r44715 (11/3/20). I see that there are new beta builds being released almost weekly, but I know that these builds can have problems. I'm looking more for stability, not the latest and greatest. With that being said, how often should I be updating my firmware? Is there a point where a beta firmware becomes the new standard? Looking for some general advice on this.

It's up to you, really as DD-WRT users are the testers. See the build threads, and a quick search reveals all.

Sir egc had no issues with the mid-December build. Yesterday's build is likely much better, but no feedback.

No one has reported their results with R6400v2, so you never know until you try. R7000 is similar, no issues.

Ok, I just didn't know if someone eventually declared a beta to be the 'stable build' or something.

Well, users tend to stick with the build you are using right now but there is not any official "stable" build.
