This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build (e.g. 29621_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

Uptime/Status: Changed this from an AP (plus non-working guest network) to a CB+AP; worked fine for 30min.

I'm curious to try a build with 30950 at my parents' house and their cellular service. I now no longer have any DD routers in normal service except the ol' WRT54GL & GS at the in-laws still on 27858.

Netgear R7000

Did not reset.

Was upgrading specifically for OpenVPN upgrades. Could not connect to OpenVPN server with 2 devices.

Had to rollback to 30709. Working properly after rollback.

The old broadcom v24 build of mega is reported as build 30905 not 30949 on my old WL-500W. It happens from time to time...BS misses something with this mega build and it doesn't display the correct build number.

Other than that...no issues.

Router: R8500 Made in Vietnam ver
Firmware: r30949
Previous: 1.0.2.80_1.0.71 (OEM)
Kernel:
Status: Update Failed
Reset:
Errors: Firmware not compatible -2

There seems to be a new group of R8500s with a new sig that do not see any DD-WRT builds as compatible. From looking at the few instances where this has cropped up, it seems that Made in China models flash no problem but Made in Vietnam models don't.

5ghz wireless strength is weak. About 63% on wl1, and only 15% on wl2. I'm only about 20 feet away with no walls blocking the router.

VLAN 1 show up as yellow, and 2 shows up as red, though seem to work fine.

The LED on / off button on the side doesn't seem to do anything.

When the router starts up all LEDs are the correct color. Once the network gets up the network status LED, incorrectly, changes to red.

CPU temperature ranges from 66 to 68 degrees celsius.
