What would it take to support multiple MAC addresses for a single IP address static reservation in DD-WRT (the same way Tomato does)? dnsmasq supports this, and it is very useful. From what I can tell, it would only require a very small change in the syntax DD-WRT uses for the dhcp-host line in dnsmasq.conf, and just extending the length of the MAC address field in the UI.

Yes, it would be nice to have.

FWIW, you can always create your own static leases directly in the Additional DNSMasq Options field on the Services page. Most experienced users who have more than a handful of such static leases are probably better off NOT using the GUI for this any other reasons (e.g., ease in migrating to a new build).

Code:
dhcp-host=00:00:00:00:00:01,00:00:00:00:00:02,192.168.1.100,mypc,24h

And even though tomato supports multiple MACs per static lease, I *still* use the above method.

IMO, of all the things least likely to get fixed/enhanced are those that a) involve the GUI (it's antiquated already), b) benefit a relatively small number of users, and c) have viable workarounds.

P.S. If you want to request an enhancement, consider adding ti to the bug tracking system. You're more likely to get a response from the developers.

For all I know, it might already be in there, w/ a response.

The only time BrainSlayer pays any attention to the bug tracker is when he gets an email from someone, more often than not. Otherwise, there wouldn't be tickets dating back 11 or so years.
