This router works great, however recently I have run into a problem where if a ip camera (2ghz) drops out or the camera reboots sometimes the router won't re-accept a connection you can see it in the router connection page trying to connect but it just drops off, then re-tries.

The only way to re-establish a connection is to either change a wifi option in the router which resets the interface or reboot the router..

I have tried different wifi channels, long/short Preamble & Shortslot Override, different ack timings, I even tried different wl interference modes, not sure what else to try.

how can i debug the wireless better syslog doesn't tell much about wifi.

Just for info 2ghz is using 20mhz mode, channel 3 wireless N

what wifi security method are you using?

I would make sure it's WPA>wpa2 personal>CCMP-128 (AES)
is WMM turned on? if not it should be.

Shortslot and preamble both should be short.
ack timing should be 900.

use channel 1,6, or 11

for beacon interval use 101
DTIM=2

Thanks for the response, I am using wpa2 personal, ccmp-128 and wmm is turned on, i'll try the DTIM and beacon settings and see if it helps.

NG-Mixed, not N-only.

I am still battling with this connection problem,

I don't know whats causing it, sometimes the ip camera drops off and just won't initiate a successful re-connection unless I reboot the router or toggle some option so the wireless connections reset, sometimes I can see the device trying to reconnect but it doesn't connect (no error just drops off, then tries again and drops off), other times I don't see it trying to reconnect but after rebooting the router it connects again.

I dont care if they disconnect, as long as they can reconnect, im thinking its some kind of interference that causes them to disconnect, but some bug in router is preventing reconnect, is it possible to turn on a heavy debug mode for the wireless so I can figure out whats going on?

I changed every option under wireless and even some command line changes (like wl0 interference modes), nothing completely solved it, I also tried changing the Key Renewal Interval to 0 and lower and higher.
